Vintage Tea Tray, Oval

A deep-framed plastic oval tray with an aged, weathered finish and a raised rim, used in traditional Chinese tea ceremony as a base for the pot and cups. The recessed frame contains rinse water and drips from the pouring and warming steps, keeping the work surface dry. The large oval format leaves room for a pot, a fairness pitcher, and several cups arranged together. Equally suited for use as a decorative display tray for dried fruit, sweets, or small objects. Wipe clean with a dry or barely damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
